Hi Alex. Didn’t post any message for a long time… I would love to see what do you do on marquetry, but I’m really more prone to carving.
I’m really very interested in all those ornamental techniques and really enojoy looking at it. But for doing it myself carving is the primary interest.
Thank you very much for your time!!!

Sergio, thank you for your feedback!

Hi Alex, I have never had a try at marquetry , however I have always been fascinated by how it all goes together. Would love to see how you go about creating the the picture. If you were to include how to work out the materials needed and perhaps where to purchase them would be an added bonus.

Hi Alex
I would be really interested in seeing how you do your marquetry. I have done a little using swann morton knives and using the window method; I have recently started using a scroll saw with the table angled to do the cutting. I find using knives quite hard on the hands when using really tough veneer and find I use a lot of tape for crumbly veneer.. I am no expert but would be really interested in seeing your methods and no doubt picking up some useful information.

Oh, yes, please! Mix some marquetry with some overlay woodcarving. Your flower marquetry panel is gorgeous!

I cannot believe how similar we are in our thinking.

I think it would be great!

Alex,
I too would like to see your window method. I have been thinking about building a chevelle which as you know is a rather large undertaking. Would like to see the window method before I go down that road. I have been doing inlay and stringing and want to improve my capabilities.
