Forgive me Master, but, you are making me very nervous not clamping the wood! I am a knife carver, too, and know how easily a piece can slip.

I know :).. clamp it!

I understand why you wanted it free so to be able to turn for various cuts.

Yes! ????????

I’ve done two of these. On the deep cuts I seem to have difficulty chipping out the piece and leave the area I carved smooth.

I know how you feel. Never stop trying. Never stop believing. Never give up. Your day will come. 🙂

Thank you!! I think I’ll finish one I’m on, do my best and send you a picture for your evaluation. I appreciate your valuable time!

Don’t try to be perfect. Just try to be better than you were yesterday. 😃

Will a pfiel 11 work? I have a hard time finding a 12. Thank you for your work.

Yes, any knife will work.

Hello Alexander. Thank you for your lessons. I really appreciate them. Just a heads up, I’m having a really hard time seeing anything you’re doing in a couple of videos so far, because of the distance of the camera from the workpiece, and your arms/head.
