You briefly show a newspaper clipping from the Goshen IN News. I read what I can, but some of it is cut off. Your personal story is quite interesting to me. I searched the Goshen News site for this article, but it does not appear in the search results, probably because it must be about 18 yrs old. Some of us might like to read some of these articles that have been written about you. Is it possible for you to put scans of them on your website? Have you ever thought about writing (or having someone else do it) a manuscript about your life thus far?

I never thought about writing about myself. I Will scan and Post some newspaper articles. Thank you for your comment it means a lot for me.

Hi Alex,
I have been going through the GG videos watching your carving approach, very interesting.
My question is, at this stage ( video 28) the flower you are working on appears to have a stem coming out of the centre then developing into a leaf, I find it looks a little strange at this point, what do you have in mind for this as the carving progresses?
Thanks Eric

🙂 Eric. It was a common technique in18th century. I am just trying to be authentic.

Thanks Alex that explains it.
I am still quite new to this style of carving and loving it
Eric

Hi Alexander, I agree with MikeinWisconsin. I would love to read more about you and your adventure in carving. Where are you going to post the articles Mike is referring to? I think you should write a book with photos of all of your work!!! You have plenty of time, right? haha
I’m so glad I found your school. I bought the Work Sharp and my chisels have never been so sharp!!! Your website is so attractive and professionally designed and you are an excellent teacher (as I’ve mentioned before but I can’t say that enough!)
Sincerely,
Beth
