It’s absolutely a beautiful piece of art work. Since I have a couple hundred board feet of walnut in my shop, I would like to carve this piece from walnut. Will the Pfeil knife carve walnut?
To have the option of a cutting board, I would made an end grain walnut cutting board and then vacuum press it to the back side. I would then add an inlay band between the seams of each piece with ebony.
Yes, I have used a Pfeil knife on walnut. It is a little harder but doable.
