You have used something you are calling a “Gonzales” Tool? My spelling is probably wrong. Where or who carries that tool? Pfiel, of Ashleigh isles or who?
I have posted this I no my continuing research section in browser links. I scan over those typically once per month, but as I already mentioned before, I used their link to be notified when it becomes available again. They may have a certain minimum number of requests to match before they re-create specific tools. Not a big worry either way. That tool just seemed to have multiple use capability.
I liked your suggestion in your livestream to grind a Gonzales tool from a Woodcraft #2 sweep skew chisel since it isn’t available for purchase. The livestream also answered my previous question about the Woodcraft Abbegglen detail knife & why you don’t choose it.
That Gonzales too is available now on woodcraft I think, one of those sites with wood built into name that sells lots of tools. I got mine last week from them and forgot to let you all know it was finally available again.
Thank You, John,
As far as I know, the only site that sells true Gonzales tool is toolsforworkingwood.com
Woodcraft has a Pfeil Swiss-made – Abegglen tool, it is not the same as Gonzales. I one of the last Livestream I am talking about it.
That is where I saw it and purchased it. They have a long version and a palm version, I only purchased the long.vwrsion. sorry that I got the site name wrong. my aging mind is lucky if it remembers to even eat.

Your link says that this tool isn’t available.
As far as I know, it is the only place you can get this tool in the USA. Just check once in a while. Most likely they will get it some day.

Is the Abegglen detail knife similar enough to use for this?
