And now watching videos I come to idea that I has gone in right direction of making such kind of carving. Very helpful was to see how to use back-bent tool and skew-gouge to make effective removing of material. Thanks a lot!

Does the undercut meet the leaf edge at an acute angle or is it slightly beveled? What is the shape of the undercut? Straight line from base to leaf edge, convex or concave? I have watched the rest of this series and I can’t be sure of what shape you are making when undercutting. Thanks for your time. I am really enjoying learning all your techniques
