Hi Alexander! As I carve, I have the course playing on my iPad and watch the segments even though I have not carved the second layer, nor glued the second layer on. It is interesting to watch the process and see what is ahead as I tend to details on the first layer. I really appreciate the advice about thinning and lightening.
I have been thinking about making the carving as a centrepiece for a table rather than a wall hanging. I would prefer not to mount it on dark wood, however it may be too frail if I don’t put it on a backer board.
I am really enjoying the course and learning to expand my horizons relative to designing some of the flora components. I am enjoying going at my usual slow pace.
