This has been great now I know the approach to carving grapes. Can you give me the approximate size of the wood I can get ready?

24 inches long (61 cm), 6 inches wide (15.25 cm), and 1 7/8 inches thick (4.76 cm).
This is a wonderful project. Not only for demonstrating how to carve grapes but more important how smaller parts occupy space within a larger 3-D shape; known as spatial relationship. This is the type of project that improves the brain of carvers.
