Hi Alex! This is not easy at all. How do you attack the circles in a visual way to get it from a flat surface to a circle. I had no idea how low to cut from one level to the next. How much meat to leave before you start removing it to make it become circular. I had to watch your video doing the volute at least 5 times and i am on my third block of wood. I am going to continue with this but when you see the outcome, you will see a more oval shape of volute. I hope you can comment on it and give pointers to how to correct it in the future / how to attack it. Thank you very much. On with the journey…

To understand better, it is a good idea to watch a Venice room some segments. I do a similar movement on a bigger scale and I think I explained it better there. I don’t remember in what workshops, look at the picture and You will find it.
